Life Hack: Get Yourself a Parcel Box!
A last-minute gift, the part that you need to complete your project, or an irresistible Vinted bargain. Online shopping is a game changer! You can’t get more convenient than a quick scroll, click, and delivery to your door. The final piece of the process can be frustrating, so here is a life hack. Get yourself a parcel box!
Why Do I Need a Parcel Box?
So you enjoy shopping and have no difficulty filling an online shopping cart. It’s easy to find what you want, get a good price, and place your orders at a time that suits you. However, the delivery can be less straightforward.
Even with tracking, the drivers are dropping off hundreds of packages a day. It’s hard to avoid traffic congestion, which delays deliveries. You can’t always be home, and chances are that your package will arrive when you are out.
What’s more, with targets to meet, drivers don’t have time to wait for you to answer the door. Therefore, even if you are home, anything that doesn’t fit through the letterbox is left on the doorstep. In the 2025 Ofcom report, 26% of customers commented that deliveries had been left in inappropriate or unattended places.
These are the reasons why you need a parcel box. No need to wait in for the majority of deliveries! No more dashing for the door, as your postie can drop your packages into the parcel box. Kept out of the rain, your goods avoid damage. What’s more, a parcel box decreases the risk of your orders being stolen from outside your door.
Parcel Boxes: The Solution for Modern Living
Let’s face it, parcel boxes are far more practical than a letterbox in the age of online shopping. They add to the convenience of ordering, as you simply collect your deliveries from the locked hold outside your door at a time that suits you. That’s a life hack that should be installed in every new build!
It’s time to get prepared for peak purchases during Black Friday and the countdown to Christmas.
Where Can I Buy a Parcel Box?
If you agree that a parcel box would make life easier, you need to know where to buy one.
At Letterbox4You, we source high-quality parcel boxes from European manufacturers. Every model is designed to be robust, durable, and resistant to the British weather. Our range includes anti-theft features and a secure, lockable hold. We supply parcel boxes with two keys, so you have a spare, and a two year warranty.
Our range includes smaller, wall mounted parcel boxes, such as Puffin or Allux 500. These models have a lift-up lid to maximise the dimensions of boxes that can be posted. However, internal flaps ensure that once the parcel is in the hold, no one can reach in and take it out again.
Puffin Wall Mounted Parcel Box and Allux 500 Free Standing Parcel Box – both secure, space-saving solutions for convenient home deliveries.
If you regularly receive multiple packages or larger parcels, take a look at the free standing Buzzard or Goldcrest. With a big delivery slot and a high-capacity hold, these models will keep your deliveries dry and safe.
