Incredibly small opening, the outermost sleeve slides into the inner most sleeve so any moisture will trickle into the lower section where the mail is holding. I think it should be the other way round with the inner section sliding into the outer section so any moisture outside the box stays outside the box.
Disappointing, so I have to find something else with a full size letter box opening.Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear the product wasn’t quite what you were looking for. Our through-the-wall letterboxes are designed with security in mind, which is why the opening accepts mail up to 15mm thick—this prevents anyone from being able to reach inside and remove mail through the slot. For larger items, we usually recommend a secure parcel box, which are designed to take bulkier deliveries.
With regards to the sleeve design, the outer sleeve slides into the inner sleeve to ensure a smooth entry for mail, preventing items from catching where the sections join. Once fully installed and sealed around the faceplate, the weatherproof design is intended to prevent rainwater from entering the mail compartment.

The chute itself was fine but the narrow opening on the letterbox was disappointing. I want the post to just fall through to the floor and not be left in a lockable chute so then there's little security risk of someone putting their arm down the chute and getting at the post (presumably that's why the opening is so narrow?) I've now got to find a larger letterbox front to replace the one that came with the chute.

The box a delivered was not quite as I thought it from the pictures, ie the frames were separate from the tube, not fixed to it. Also the letter aperture is restricted and the box is short possibly giving trouble for newspaper delivery. The letter flap has no seal and I'm worried about wind and rain into it. We'll have to see when it's installed. The short comings explain the low price which was what caused the purchase!

We aim to provide not only a quality product but also a high standard of customer service to all our customers. Unfortunately, your original order was placed on a Friday afternoon, which means that next day delivery would not be possible. We do state in our delivery terms that orders placed before midday are dispatched same day and that Saturday delivery would require an express shipment. My sincere apologies that the wrong item was sent, however as soon as we were made aware, a replacement was sent out and the unrequired item collected. We spoke on the phone regarding the fitting of your purchase and as I explained, this item is usually fitted by a builder, often with the wall built around it. Therefore, no fittings are required and everything is indeed normally mortared in. The same fitting is required when a wall is already in situ, however as a hole is required to be cut in the wall, this would normally also be done by a builder or very competent DIYer. I am certainly concerned to hear that you have emailed numerous times without reply and wonder if you could clarify the dates and email address used so that I can look into it.<br/></div>
