Birmingham

A large-scale, design-led installation combining recessed mailboxes and secure parcel boxes across four entrance cores, delivered through close collaboration as requirements evolved.

Project Overview

This new-build development required the supply of 320 mailboxes and parcel boxes, recessed into the lobby areas of four separate entrance cores. From the outset, the project presented several key considerations:

  • Delivering a visually striking solution that complemented the development's design-led aesthetic
  • Providing a compact and efficient mail delivery solution
  • Meeting budget requirements
  • Accommodating an initially demanding programme
  • Incorporating a secure parcel delivery solution for residents

As is often the case with large construction projects, requirements evolved as the development progressed. We worked closely with our client throughout the project to ensure their priorities remained at the forefront of every decision, continually adapting our proposals to meet changing budgets, timescales, and design requirements.

During the design phase, parcel boxes were introduced into the specification, requiring a secure and user-friendly access solution. To meet this requirement, we sourced and supplied digital code locks, providing both convenience and enhanced security for residents. The chosen finish also evolved, changing from Gentian Blue to Traffic Black to better align with the project's final design vision.

With completion dates shifting throughout the programme, flexibility was essential. By working closely with both our manufacturing partners and UK warehouse team, we were able to adapt production and delivery schedules to ensure the products arrived on site when required.

Construction projects rarely remain unchanged from concept to completion. Our role is to listen, adapt, and provide practical solutions that evolve alongside our customers' needs. The result was a secure, attractive, and functional mail and parcel delivery solution that met the project's changing requirements while maintaining the quality and aesthetic standards expected throughout the development.
