As part of a residential refurbishment project in Nottingham, the customer needed to replace 511 letterboxes across seven blocks, requiring a solution that could accommodate a wide variety of bank sizes while maintaining a consistent appearance throughout the development.

Our Urban Easy C2 communal letterbox was selected for the project and supplied as internal freestanding banks. With requirements varying between locations, configurations ranged from just 2 letterboxes up to banks of 35, demonstrating the flexibility of the modular C2 system. The project used the 270 mm wide Urban Easy C2, with each letterbox measuring 270 mm W × 110 mm H × 382 mm D.

The product is also available in a 260 mm wide version, allowing different width requirements to be accommodated. The C2 can be configured into larger banks and is suitable for freestanding, wall-mounted or wall-recessed installation.

For a coordinated finish, the letterboxes and matching freestanding supports were supplied in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey, Matt, with apartment numbers UV printed directly onto the doors.

With 511 letterboxes and numerous different bank configurations being supplied across seven blocks, careful planning and communication with the customer and their team was an important part of the project. We coordinated the different requirements and delivery to help ensure the letterboxes could be efficiently allocated across the development as the refurbishment progressed.

The result is a consistent communal letterbox solution throughout all seven blocks, while allowing each location to have a configuration suited to its individual requirements.
